I don’t do this for the money but I would like to see change, though
Yes, layperson you can call that thing pro bono
I’ma put in so much work it’ll be like I broke a labor law

Well, I died to my flesh like Jesus did, you can say I kill
And I gave God the glory so success is in my Father’s will
No court should order me to pay damages cuz my compensation’s inferior
I’m under my Father’s salvation insurance, kind of like respondeat superior
E pluribus unum means one of many
But as a child of God, I feel like I’m loved plenty
I want to stay in this Heavenly family, call it major dedication
Not trying to get a divorce, no minor emancipation
I can dig the legal doctrine of Promissory estoppel
People need to be men or women of their Word so the world doesn’t continue to topple
So I will “bear no false witness against thy neighbour”
Lest I be lumped with other offenders, like a lawsuit joinder
I just used legal terms from torts, contracts, and Civ Pro
Yeah, I’m just an incoming 1L but from these lyrics you wouldn’t know
That’s called having skill, grace, and favor from the One above
And even though I’ll be graded on a curve, I’ll even show the gunners love
As of right now I don’t know if I’ll be at the top of the class
But my values and morals I know that I will not let pass
